My Favorite Writing Resources

I don’t pretend to be an expert in writing. So, I always push myself to study the craft so I can better tell my stories to you. Here are my favorite books that I’ve read so far that have helped me along my writing journey.

Disclaimer: I am not sponsored by any of these works. This is just a list of books that have really helped me.

The Miracle Morning

The Miracle Morning for Writers

I have based my entire morning routine on these books. It has helped me become more productive, and even turned me into a morning person when I used to be a night owl. It also dives into good writing habits and the basics of getting published.

You Are a Writer (so Start ACTING Like One)

This was a super quick read. The author can be a bit blunt sometimes, but the cruel reality checks are often needed. He talks about getting into the mindset of being a writer. The overall message of the story is that – You are a writer… SO START WRITING!

Creating Characters: The Complete Guide to Populating Your Fiction

This is the book I am currently studying. So far so good!

This book is a collection of advice from the editors of Writer’s Digest. They dive into Point of View, Dialogue, and how to create convincing characters (protagonist, antagonist, side characters, et cetera) for your story.
